My Week as a Kennel Helper
|---|---|---|---|---|
Dennis Jenks is our volunteer who will arrive the first week in June to spend one week working in an active racing kennel at Wonderland Greyhound Park. Dennis lives in Parish, NY, and does not belong to a given greyhound group. Dennis, instead, volunteers to help any greyhound group that asks!! What a volunteer! ... and we are keeping him in Syracuse so don't think about asking for his phone number! |

Dennis is serving a one week internship as a kennel helper in the North Shore Kennel, owned by William O'Donnell, Sr. "Billy, Sr." is known for his revisions to the spelling rules in the English language to fit his Boston accent, and his inability to answer the phone during Boston Red Sox or Patriot's games. |

Dennis will be doing everything that a kennel person is responsible for during that week, including picking up poop many times a day. The price of Dennis's internship is giving a talk to all Expo attendees at Wonderland on Friday June 13th. He will share with you his duties and impressions of working in a real racing kennel. Have your questions ready for him! Another volunteer will be working at Raynham so you will be able to compare their experiences. |
